Mono
?6 advance / ?7 door
8pm
Melodic instrumental noise unit from Japan who bring their 'soundtrack to the end of the world' to NAC. Their epic instrumental soundscapes belie the fact that they're a quartet, swelling from near silence to full-on lush orchestrated extravaganzas in a fraction of a second. Mono's post-rock sound will be lapped up by fans of Mogwai or Explosions In The Sky. Guitars, bass, cello, violin, and drums combine on record to produce an intense, emotional and almost visual canvas. Their latest album, the Steve Albini produced 'Walking cloud and deep red sky, Flag fluttered and the sun shined', sees them further their lush sounds, and will no doubt gain them many new fans.
